Free, accurate financial calculators โ no account, no paywall, no nonsense.
Most financial calculators online are built for the United States. They ignore CPP, QPP, EI, QPIP, the OSFI mortgage stress test, CMHC insurance, land transfer taxes, and the dozens of province-specific rules that make Canadian finances genuinely different. CanadaCalc was built to fix that.
Canadian mortgages compound semi-annually by law โ not monthly like the US. Most calculators use the wrong formula. Ours doesn't. The OSFI stress test qualifying rate must be applied throughout the full affordability calculation, not just displayed as a number. CPP and EI contributions are never part of your tax refund โ they're separate payroll deductions. We show this clearly. The Ontario Trillium Benefit has two components โ we only show the energy component if you've entered your rent or property tax, not a misleadingly low number.
Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) โ federal and provincial tax brackets, CPP/EI rates, benefit amounts. OSFI โ mortgage stress test qualifying rate rules. CMHC โ mortgage insurance premium tiers. Provincial revenue ministries โ land transfer tax, QPP, QPIP rates. City assessment offices โ property tax mill rates. Data reflects 2025 tax year, last verified January 2025.
CanadaCalc does not give financial advice. We give you the numbers โ you make the decisions. For major financial decisions, always consult a licensed professional in your province. See our full disclaimer.
